So taa daaa! Here's my first post! I've decided to create my own blog as I write content for websites as a living, so coming across beautiful websites and blogs is a daily thing for me. As I stumble across masses of blogs each day, the more I look at the more it's left me sat here wanting to create my own. Blog's are extremely addictive once you get hooked!
I wanted to create a blog where I could just sit down and write about anything I wish. This could be about my current makeup must have's, my recent getaways and days out, or a recent recipe i've tried out which has now become my favourite.. the world's your oyster, right?
Anyway.. enough of me, here's my first review!
Look Fantastic's Beauty Box* have reached their 1st birthday, and this month's box is the best yet!

If you're unsure of what a beauty box is, let me quickly explain..
Look fantastic offer a beauty box which is made up of a minimum of 6 products. Each month the box is refreshed with new items and different brands, but the best bit? What you recieve each month is a complete surprise.
I'm not entirely sure If everyone who buys a beauty box gets the same items, but each box totals up to the same price. The 1st birthday September box is £15, but includes £55 worth of items. Plus as they're celebrating this month, they're also sending out £40 worth of vouchers including a £10 GHD voucher.
In my box this month I recieved all of these little gems ..8 of them! (told you it was like christmas)

From left to right: Sebastian Professional Shampoo & Conditioner, Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Leave In Cream for dry and brittle hair, Caudalie Moisturising Sorbet, Tanworx Tan Maintainer, Caudalie S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum, and Codage Scrubbing Cream.
I'm quickly going to run through the products which I've tried, and let you know a little bit of technical information about the products. (Just a pointer - the beauty box incudes a little guide which gives you information on each of the products included the box.. super helpful, trust me!)
I'm not going to go through all of the products as we'd more than likely be here all night, and as we're only half way through the month, I haven't quite managed to try all of the products in the box.. therefore I won't give opinions or information on ALLof the products, only the ones I've tried.
First things first, I set my eyes on the Caudalie 'S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum' & 'Moisturing Sorbet'.

S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum
"It continuously caaptures and diffuses water, deep within the skin to restore it's moisture balance and leave it feeling soft and fresh. Hydration increased by 127%, and skin sensitivity decreased by 61%"
I have always suffered with oily skin (and why I say oily, I mean SUPER oily) so I always tend to be a little scared about these kind of products, and often find myself trying to steer clear of them. I thought to myself, you've got it in front of you, so don't dismiss it, just try it!
However, after giving this a go for a few weeks I found it really worked well with my skin. Admittidly my skin is still as oily as normal but then again, this product isn't for oil control. I also tend to look past the fact that just because my skin is oily, it doesn't mean to say it's hydrated. I really do recommend trying this product as it's literally made my skin feel brand new! I apply it in the morning and the evening before appying my moisturiser.
Moisturising Sorbet
"This has an immediate and long lasting soothing action. It reactivates the skins hydration mechanisms and restores it's water reserves. As skin becomes stronger, it feels softer and more comfortable. Clinically proven to soothe skin by 90%, and reduce redness by 77%"
I don't tend to suffer from redness as I have olive skin, however as the serum worked out so well for me, I wanted to try both of the products together. The sorbet really softens your skin and helps to reduce pore size (something I'm extremely grateful for!). When it comes to skincare I can be quite fussy with the scent. 9 times out of 10 if I don't like the scent, then I probably wont use it.. however both products have a very fresh, cooling (cucumber like) scent to them, and I can still smell it for hours after application!
I use this product after applying my serum, or as an alternative to the serum. I find that if I use both of them together in the morning and the evening then it can become a little too much for my skin, so I alternate each day between using both together, or the sorbet on it's own.
Next up is the Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Exceptional Cream and Tanworx Tan Maintainer..

Phytokeratine Extreme Exceptional Cream
"A luxurious, perfecting & heat-protective cream that is nourishing and repairs all damaged hair types whilst facilitating styling & protecting up to 220°C."
Having recently ran out of hair prodcucts, this leave in hair cream was an absolute god send, and it does it's job pretty good! It helped to disguise some of my spilt ends, and it made my hair noticeably shiner and softer. I did however find that if I applied even the smallest amount too much, my hair became very limp and greasy - a lot like when you accidentally leave conditioner in your hair. Not cool.
Tanworx Tan Maximiser
"A luxurious , lightweight, non-greasy moisturiser, created specifically to prolong the life of your tan. Ideal to extend your summer glow for longer with a natural looking colour"
I came back from Turkey last week, so this is a great product for me to try out after catching a tan! I was so excited when I read that it has coconut in it as it's my favourite scent, however the scent of this product is a lot like the smell of Johnson's Baby Powder.. disappointed. Other than that, I feel like this product it doing well at helping maintain my tan considering I tend to lose my tan extremely quickly when returing to the UK.

The products listed above are the only products which I have tried out so far, the others are yet to come! I do agree that the beauty box is very good value for money, espcially when you want to try out a new product yet begrudge buying the full size and paying full whack for an item which can often be costly.
Thank you for reading!
